PIXMA G3202 Paper Not Loading Straight

kcmccoy

Hello!

I have had my G3202 printer for a few years and have never had major issues.  Now I am trying to print things on letter paper and when I load the paper, the roller catches the paper and it does not load straight, causing crinkles throughout the report.

I have tried cleaning the roller, ensuring there is no paper jammed anywhere, or foreign objects in front where the paper loads that would cause the issue.  None of these have removed the problem.

Is there anything else that can be done to try and remove this issue?

Thank you!

Hi kcmccoy! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that your PIXMA G3202 is pulling the paper to the side instead of feeding it straight through.

When the printer pulls the paper to the side and crumbles it up, it is likely that the rollers are damaged or there is an object stuck on one of the sides of the tray. For example, if the paper is being pulled to the right side, that means that something is wrong with the left side (opposite side) of the tray. Either there is an object stuck on the left side, or the gears on that side of the printer have stopped working.

If you are loading regular copy paper and you do not see any obstructions inside the paper tray (towards the left or right side), the printer needs service.

The printer does come with a one-year warranty. If you purchased your printer within the last year or if you purchased a warranty extension directly from Canon on or around the date of purchase and it is still active, I recommend that you create a Canon Account, register the printer, and call us at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 PM Eastern time.

You can create your Canon Account and register the printer at the following website:

If the warranty has expired, it might be more cost effective to purchase a replacement than to pay someone to fix your printer. Through our Canon Upgrade Program, we can offer you a discount and free shipping on a new printer. If you are interested in that, please call (866) 443-8002 from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Eastern Time), Monday through Friday to speak with one of our sales agents who would be happy to help you.

I hope this information helps. Thanks for choosing Canon.
