Hi, After being an owner (quite happy one) of a Pixma IP4000 ink-jet printer for many years, i realized that at current times (when i needed to print photos again up to A4 format) the cartridges to this model had gone completely obsolete. No store in my region of the world carried them any longer and the only chance to source them was to search at various on-line sources (where most of them where third-party ones - i.e much worse quality in my experience).
So, instead of going on this wild goose-chase acquiring a set of cartridges for ~100usd (in my neck of the woods), i could actually buy a newer printer with some extra benefits (scanner, etc) for less (~70usd) in the form of the TS3350 printer. All good so far.
Setting it up went flawlessly, but here comes the tricky part:
This printer will to my knowledge NOT allow you to print A4 sized sheets using glossy photo paper!
I really tried everything. Most times, the driver and printer gave me the "E", explaining that the combination of paper and size did not work. 5x7, etc worked, bu never a full A4. I could however print an A4 using standard settings (plain paper, not photo paper). After digging into various forums and review, it seems that this is actually the case (?!). Is this correct?
I tried various software (DPP, etc) as i also own a Canon SLR, but it did no matter at all. The driver put such plans to a grinding halt.
Is this printer really that bad? I can't understand the reason for it as my (2004!) Pixma IP4000 could print great A4 photos all day long. I'm quite dissapointed tbh.

The TS3350 only costs $70.00US because it is of limited functionality as a photo printer. It uses a three-color cartridge that doesn't hold much ink, is useless after one of the colors is used up, and cannot print A4 glossy photos.
Here are the specs that you didn't check before buying it:

Sorry, you didn't make a good choice.
