PIXMA TR8620a won't print from computer after ink replacement

I purchased this unit and used it successfully until the first ink replacement. Then I could not print from my computer. I could print a test page from the printer but not documents from the computer.

What error message are you getting?

The message says, "The printer is in error state"

What operating system?

Can you confirm what printer driver is installed?

I use windows 10. I do not know what drivers are loaded. Everything worked fine until it didn't. I tried going to the ij.start.canon site and downloading newer drivers, but that failed too.
