I purchased a TR8620a back in October, 2022. It turns off after awhile and the only way to get it back on is to physically go to the printer and hit the ON button. Every other printer I have ever had will "go to sleep" but when I hit print from the computer or smartphone from any room it wakes up and prints. Any solutions welcome. This is very frustrating.

For anyone that still has this problem, go to your Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool app (if you don't have it, download from the Canon website.) Go to the Auto Power tab. Switch the Auto Power On tab to enable. This will turn on your printer when you send something to it from your computer without having to get up and push the on button. You could also disable the Auto Power Off but why waste electricity. Hope this helps!
