PIXMA TR4720 shows as "not connected" after 20 minutes

My TR4720 is connected and I can print, but after I don't use the computer for 20 minutes or so, the printer shows as not connected.  If I click on it, it goes green again, but I don't want to do this every time I print.  Is there a sleep function that I don't know about?  Thanks

Hi apasq,

To resolve this issue, please adjust your PIXMA TR4720's power options following these steps:

1.  Turn your PIXMA TR4720 on.

2.  Please press the wrench and screw driver button on your PIXMA TR4720 one time.

3.  Repeatedly press the right arrow until you see ECO settings and then press the OK button.

4.  Use the right arrow to select EnergySaveSettings and press OK.

5.  Auto power off will appear. Press OK.

6.  Repeatedly press the left arrow to select OFF and press OK.

7.  Auto power on will appear. Press OK.

8.  Use the left arrow to select ON and press OK.

More information regarding these settings can be viewed in the manual using this link:

TR4700 series > Overview > Changing Settings > Changing Settings from Operation Panel > ECO settings
