Just bought my TR4720 on Amazon and got it today. Got it out of the box and followed the installation guide and as soon as I turned it on got error code 5040. Support pages and knowlege bases say to unplug and wait 30 seconds, which I did and plug it back in. Still upon powering up it kicks the error code 5040. What should I do? I am running Win10 Home on an Aurora R7 Alienware with 32g Ram and 1TB SSD. My system registered it but the printer/scanner wont start.
Since the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
