PIXMA MX922 won't print after extensive print head cleaning and ink replacements

Syberkonda

I have a PIXMA MX922 that absolutely refuses to print. I have cleaned the print head many times with the printer's built-in cleaning functions and printer cleaning fluid, and huge amounts of ink come out.

The printer is able to give me the correct ink level status, and is using ink when it tries to print (I have drained partially used cartridges before with unsuccessful test prints). Furthermore, I see ink on the print head nozzle. When I wash out the print head, huge amounts of ink come out. However, weirdly, the ink is not actually being placed on the paper. This all occurs despite cartridge replacements.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Hi,

It sounds like there is a internal hardware issue if the printer wont print after multiple cleanings. If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your service options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
