PIXMA MX922 Error Code 1410

I WAS GIFTED A PRINTER AND THE CODE 1410 KEEP SHOWING UP. (sorry for cap) I took the cartridge out and there was ink still in there but it kept saying not recognize the yellow cartridge. Does anyone know what I need to do??  Thank you for any help in advance.

Hi,

If you are using a third party ink cartridge the printer may not be detecting it correctly. There could also be a issue with the print head itself not detecting the ink cartridge. 

 I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer. If the issue persists, the printer would require service. 

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program.
