PIXMA MX870 printer - clear fax history?

Can someone please tell me how to clear the fax history from an MX870 printer?  I've tried a variety of things to reset the printer, but when I print the fax history, it continues to print the history.

Update:

Stephen, the Reset Setting > Reset Both option didn't succeed.  (In testing it, I had to replace two ink cartridges, escalating the frustration.  Fortunately, I had some cartridges on hand.)

Deleting a document from memory is not applicable. I followed that step too, but no documents are in memory.

The summary of reports and list wasn't helpful either.

I next chose to rip out the print head to make it inoperable.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX870 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them Monday to Friday at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!

Thank you.  Because I could not get a replacement part for the PIXMA MX870, I already bought a replacement printer.  I need to know how to decommission it by clearing the fax history before I throw it out.  I'm hoping another member of the community can help me with this.

I'm not a support tech, but I found this:

I also attached two PDFs from the manual (it's only available internally, or I'd send you the link). I hope they're helpful.

Thank you, Stephen.  I will give those things a try.  I believe I already tried the Reset Settings option, but I will try it again.  (Perhaps the fax history is not considered a setting?)
