PIXMA MX850 - Error code 6A00 - will not reset

My PIXMA MX850 has an error code 6A00 and I can't get it to reset. I turned it off. unplugged it and removed the data cable for 15 minutes plus. this started with a paper jam in the auto feed, but I removed the paper and there are no torn pieces. 

can anyone suggest another resolution to try?

Since there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer, and resetting did not resolve the error, the printer will require servicing.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.

I had the same problem. I did all the shut downs, resets, checked for paper jambs and nothing worked.

Here is what did work. I removed all ink cartridges, closed the cover to allow the machine to reset and give the no-ink warning (no 6A00 error). I then opened the cover, put all the same ink cartridges back in its place. The printer reset as normal...it now prints fine, with no errors.
