PIXMA MX472 says to add paper when there's already paper in the tray

My Pixma MX472 keeps informing me to add paper when I try to print a page though paper is already in the tray. It refuses to print.

When you attempt to print, does an error code appear on the display of your PIXMA MX472?

Hi JP-23,

Reload the paper and press the machine's OK button.

When you load the paper, insert the paper stack until the leading edge touches the far end of the front tray.

Once set, please attempt to print.

If the issue persists, please open the transport unit to check for jammed paper or foreign objects:
