PIXMA MG5420 Error message came up

The Geek Squad tried to get my printer working but didn't succeed and referred me to Canon. Is it possible to talk to a real technician?

Printer is not working and I received an error message letting me know a printer error has occurred. The Geek Squad tried but failed to get the matter corrected.

The standard instructions to turn printer off and on. Same routine that I went through with the Geek Squad. The final message was to contact the service.

Hi Sycamore1,

Please unplug the power cord from your PIXMA MG5420 for 15 minutes or so.

After that time has elapsed, please reconnect the power cord and turn your PIXMA MG5420 on.

What is the Support Code that appears on the display of your printer?

If a code does not appear, please attempt to print.  

If you are unable to print, please look at the display of your printer.   What is the Support Code that appears?

The support code that continues to come up suggest all of the things I've already done and then advises the user to check the manual or contact the service. I do not have a manual so I continue to contact the service.
