PIXMA MG2522 can not scan

I can copy and print letters but will not scan. error"scanner is turned off "and "usb cable is disconnected". Code5,156,69

The cable is good or I would not be able to print files.

Do you have another USB cable to try?  Scanning is NOT the same as printing and copying.
