PIXMA MG2220 won't detect new full print cartridge

I replaced both the color (241) and black (240XL) ink cartriges in my pixma mg2220. Now it shows full color ink, and low black ink still. I have tried reinstalling the black twice, but it still shows low. It does seem to print ok though. Ideas?

In my case, I replaced both black and color cartridges on my Pixma MX 410 with genuine Canon 210XL and Canon 211XL cartidges.  I get the message that neither cartridge can be recognized.  I pushed the Stop button for 10+ seconds and nothing happens.  I followed all your instructions about taking out cartridges, powering off, etc. and still get the same message.

Going to the link you suggested for customer support, the message was that this product is no longer supported.  So now what???

Still have the same problem. None of the proposed solutions work ( l tried twice. Never again will l buy compatible canon ink cartriges  just to save a bit of money, IT'S NOT  WORTH THE HASSLE!  )   I even returned the first one but the second didn't work either and l just can't print because the machine tells me that the black cartridge is empty and must be replaced.

However l am still open to suggestions if ANYONE has the answer.  Thanks in advance. Lisa

Tried this twice. Didn’t work

No sorry did not work for me at all.  My printer is canon pixma TS150.  I was stupid enough to buy a compatible cartridge ( with canon inscribed on the back) to save money. But it SHOULD work!

Sometimes the printer won't detect new full print cartridge. It’s a very common problem in almost every brand of printer. You can try some common steps to resolve this issue on your own.

When you face the printer not recognizing new ink cartridge issue then it will be indicate that your printer is not able to detect the cartridge. So to solve this issue you can replace the cartridge of the printer.

Sometime there are low ink level in the printer. So check it carefully whether the ink level is maintained or not.

If nothing work then you can reset your printer. By doing this you can rid of the issue soon.

Can someone please provide some direction on how to resolve this issue?

I am so frustrated. I have literally only leveraged the initial temporary cartridges that come with the printer. I've replaced the ink twice - removed the cartridges and re-added the cartridges multiple times. followed other recommendations for resolving. I have been able to use this printer for 30 days after purchasing.  All of the responses to this discussion seem like excuses rather than providing effective directions to resolve the issue that Cannon has obviously been having for years.  Someone purchased this printer for me - because I typical do my research before purchasing.

I would love to resolve this issue.

Thanks!
