PIXMA IX6820 black ink fuzzy

senadesigns

The black ink from my Pixma IX6820 has been printing terribly fuzzy. I've included a sample photo of what I'm describing, it's only the black bk ink that is giving me trouble.  All of the black line work in my art prints are printing out fuzzy.

I've cleaned and deep cleaned my printhead countless times, but the pattern check is always the same (see photo).

I also cleaned the encoder strip as well after searching through past posts on similar issues.  If anyone knows what could be wrong with my printer (is my printhead in need of replacement?), or have any suggestions I'd be so very grateful!IMG_8566.jpgIMG_8568.jpg

Hi senadesigns,

The BK in your nozzle check image is not printing correctly.  Also, you can see that the bars on each side of C, M, Y, and BK are distorted.  Because performing numerous cleanings did not get your nozzle check to print correctly, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA iX6820 and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support. A Technical Support Representative can determine the cause of the issue and resolve it or provide you with your available service options.
