I have been try to find out why my printer printed double vertical line. As if the line splits then rejoins. See pictures:
Ive tried doing print head alignments and going through the nozzle cleaning process and finally I heard it could be the timer bet, which I tried to clean but to be honest I couldn't really see any kind of grease or other dirt.
Does anyone know what else could be causing this?
Thanks in advance
I would still recommend performing the encoder cleaning even though there is no grease. If the encoder and other nozzle cleanings did not resolve the issue, the printer would require service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
