PIXMA G7020 LCD screen too hard to read

G7020 Pixma LED message is too small and too dark for me to read. Old people do use printers!  Is there a way to cast the message to my PC screen?

The LCD of the PIXMA G7020 is not back lit.  To view the display, please place your printer in a well lit area.

Casting the information on your printer's display to your computer, television or phone is not supported.
