I just purchased a Pixma G6020 in August. I can't see anything on the lcd screen without shining a bright flashlight on it. Is there a way to increase the brightness? This makes it almost impossible to use the printer for any function other than printing from my computer. I can't find anything in the manuel or support about it.

Greetings,
I am not aware of any LCD brightness adjustment, nor do I believe it changes depending on ambient light. I suggest you contact Canon.

I agree with you about the lcd panel being very hard to see/read. This was listed as a "con" in the reviews I read before purchasing this printer, so I was somewhat prepared and decided to overlook the issue because the other features appealed to me. My solution is to keep a flashlight next to the printer...
After a very short while, I'm now finding it impossible to get the printer to print from the lower cassette paper tray...it had been functioning just fine.

Another stupid design, why do engineers suck so bad?- maybe because companies won’t fund things right but I wouldn’t sign off on that.

Have had same issues, on the cassette tray thier appears to be now setting in printer and must go back to windows printer settings to change it- really stupid as well because once windows uses rear feed then my phone wants to as well- come on canon you can do better.

This is a truly despicable choice by Canon. I knew I was getting the lame LCD screen, but not having a backlight is absurd. Having to upgrade to a much more expensive printer just to get a readable display is like having to pay for heated leather seats on a car just to get power steering! I'm crossing Canon off the list for my next printer. I wasted a couple of hours cobbling together a dimmable LED strip that mounts above the control panel.
