PIXMA G6020: Printing Colors from Photoshop not Matching what's on the screen

Hi guys,

I am about to rip all my hair out. All my images come out with a slight blue tint. Blacks print more like grays/blues. My reds print like purples.
No it's not a clogged print head. Yes I have done all the cleanings a million times, everything is in alignment, ink flushes conducted, printer settings reset. At one point, I was thinking it was the ink (i was thinking i accidentally purchased Canon knock off ink). That's not the case either, its 100% genuine ink.
Once upon a time, I used Photoshop to edit all my images and print without any issues with this same exact printer. The result were bold, vibrant, awesome photos with no tints, EXACTLY WHAT I SAW ON MY SCREEN. To my knowledge, nothing has changed. I haven't changed any color profiles on my macs. Maybe something changaing automatically with these new updates? New photoshop versions?

I have watched probably hundred of youtube videos now on color profiles both on Photoshop and the internal Mac color profile display settings. Countless chats with Canon Representatives. Countless threads on Reddit and the canon community. I have tried EVERYTHING. The colors that print just do NOT match my screen. I am in Adobe RGB Profile on photoshop currently. I have tried printing directly from photoshop, so PS can manage the color settings; still to no prevail. What has changed?!?!?! I have absolutely no idea. I am unable to change the colorsync and allow my computer to manage the settings as opposed to the printer, due to having this obligatory Canon airPrint driver since its Wireless printing.

Surely enough, I just printed a test "rainbow" print right from my browser and the colors are exact. So I'm starting to think, the issue might be specific to Photoshop.

Please help!!!! My small business depends on this printer 😞 THANK YOU!

HOLY MOLY. I decided to mess around with it again. Testing various color settings. I decided to try the regular RGB in photoshop. I accidentally forgot to select "rear tray" for my photo, since that's where I usually print my photos to avoid folding or smearing.... IT PRINTED THE EXACT COLORS!!!! Would you believe that? So I'm Wondering why rear tree printing adds this weird blue tint?

1. Are you selecting Printer Manages Colors?

2. What driver is your Mac reporting? Does it say AirPrint (which you don't want)?

Hi John,

I can't manage the color management settings through AirPrint driver. I have tried to print directly from Photoshop and in that way, I was able to select "photoshop manages color". Still doesn't work. Driver is AirPrint. I was told by a canon tech guy, that's the Only option since I'm printing wirelessly. I think my last option here is to try to connect the printer via wired connection so I can attempt to download the driver where I can manually adjust color settings.

any idea why this is happening? It used to print fine, once upon a time.

I don’t know. I know AirPrint is very limited capabilities. Have you downloaded and installed the 6020 software from the Canon support site?

Doesn't help unfortunately.
