I am trying to download the driver for a new printer Canon Megatank printer G3270, and when I click on the download I'm getting the message "can't create output file: .\mas2-win-103_10_0-ea34_2\msetup4.exe"
Please help!
I have Windows 11 updated.
Thank you - Sarah

Hi sarabreito,
The "can't create output file" can be caused by security software blocking the program or that the installation is already running. Only one instance of the installation can be running at a time.
Please restart your computer.
Once ready, please download the drivers. Please click this link to download the Windows 11 drivers for your PIXMA G3270.
When the download is complete, go to the folder where you downloaded the installation file. Please move that or copy that file to your desktop and close the folder. The file's name is "md__-win-g3070-1_03-ea34_2.exe" if you have to search for it.
Right click "md__-win-g3070-1_03-ea34_2.exe" now on your desktop and left click on "Run as administrator" to begin the installation on your computer.
If you continue to have difficulties, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:
https://mycanon.usa.canon.com
Once logged in, click on your PIXMA G3270 and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support..
Did this answer your question? If so, please click the Accept as Solution button below so that others may find the answer as well.

Oh no, that "can't create output file" error with your PIXMA G3270 can be a bit of a head-scratcher! It usually pops up when your computer is trying to save the scanned document somewhere but is running into a roadblock.
One of the most common reasons for this is a permissions issue. Basically, your computer might not have the necessary "okay" to save files in the folder you've selected. You could try saving your scan to a different location, like your Desktop or Documents folder, just to see if that makes a difference. If it does, then the original folder might need its permissions checked.
Sometimes, security software like your antivirus can be a little overzealous and might be blocking the scanner software from saving files. You could try temporarily disabling it (be careful while it's off!) to see if that's the culprit. If it is, you might need to add an exception for your Canon scanning software in your security settings.
Another thing to quickly check is if you have enough free space on your hard drive. If your drive is almost full, it might not be able to create new files. Give your storage a quick look and free up some space if needed.
