My PIXMA MX892 is still in perfect condition. I know it is connected to my Computer....the ink cartridges are new and Canon specific to this printer. It will go through the entire print process to print but what comes out is blank. Please help figure out what has happened. Thanks

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX892 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

It sounds like your printer is doing the same thing my MX922 was doing. I tried everything I could to solve this but in the end I used the “ Reset Everything” option in the system Configuration area. My guess is that during a firmware/os update the printer got “stupid” and the reset function refreshed the OS and solved the problem. I do have the Auto Update turned on so I’m assuming the problem happened during that last update. Good luck.
