New MG2520 printer.on XP

I recently purchased a MG2520 printer and it installs fine on my Laptop running XP but it will not install on my destop running the same level of XP.  After selecting the things to install and hitting next it comes up with an informational screen but hitting next at that point it does nothing.  Any ideas out there?

Hi Mortdd,

If you disable any antivirus or firewall software that is on your computer and then attempt to reinstall the printer, does it install successfully?  Also, are you using the same USB cable to connect the printer to your desktop computer as you did to connect the printer to your laptop?

Because this is an old XP computer I have no internet connection so no fire wall or antivirius on it.  I was using the same usb cable.
