Hi swami7774,
The PIXMA MG7520 does not have the ability to scan slides or film.
To scan that type of media, a light must shine through the film/slide so the scanning element can detect the image. The PIXMA MG7520 does not have this feature.

Hi swami7774,
Canon no longer makes scanners that are capable of scanning film/slides.

Ugh. Thanks. I was afraid of that.
If I want to scan slides I have to buy a new Canon, correct?
