Vista was EOL in 2012 with limited extended support ending in 2017.
It doesn't matter if your computer isn't connected to the internet.
Even though this problem isn't with your operating system, I think you should consider how chhoosing to use basically "ancient" systems might affect your ability to get your project done.
If you place actual value on your time, and the loss of productivity, (read time you are wasting) it all becomes clear.
