How do I increase the contrast of photos printed from my Mac desktop (Sequoia 15.5) on my TS 8220 printer?

Hi PeterB,
First, let's perform a test of your PIXMA TS8220:
1. Turn your PIXMA TS8220 on.
2. Load letter sized plain paper into the cassette.
3. Tap the gear icon at the bottom of your printer's display.
4. Tap Maintenance.
5. Tap Print nozzle check pattern.
6. Tap Yes.
A test page will print.
Please take a photo of the page that printed and then please attach it to your reply of this post.

Hi PeterB,
Are you using genuine Canon ink in your PIXMA TS8220?

Yes, although recently when I ordered from Amazon the colored cartridges were labelled "compatible". The blacks are Canon.
