My PIXMA MX490 is Stuck

My printer is stuck.  The buttons work for a few ties after plugging it in and then nothing works.  There was a storm and a new modem was installed.  Since then, no printer.

Cannon MX490, started recycling or being unresponsive around 6/1/22 as did many others,

Yes the update worked at the last step I had to unplug the power not just turn off and back on. I worked at canon print drint they are known for bad software and just installing without testing
