My MX492 started going on and off constantly without any involvement from me. I tried to do the firmware patch but could not get the printer to stop cycling. With no success here I am?

Hi,
If your printer was connected to your wifi, please reset the printer's network setting back to the factory default setting. You will want to power off your router before you do this. Once the router is off, please use the steps HERE to perform the reset.
Once the reset is done, you can connect the printer via a usb cord and try the firmware update again.
