I have an MG5550 printer, which is quite old now, but has been working fine, until today. When I attempted to use the scanner, had a message prompt saying 'cannot communicate with scanner' and a list of possible reasons why, none of which applied - I haven't tampered with any connections etc., wouldn't know how to anyway! The printer still works okay. Would be most grateful for any suggestions.
