MG5420 Just started Printing Blank Pages

I have had my MG5420 and used it without issue until today.  I was printing pages when suddenly, the pages started coming out blank.  I did the cleaning and that didn't help.  I did the deep cleaning and that didn't help.  I can hear the print head moving like it is printing something, but the pages keep coming out blank.  Love my printer, how do I fix it?

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG5420 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

We pulled the ink cartridges out and the PGI250 had a puddle of ink under it.  Obviously a clog.., is there any way to clean the print head aside from the printer menu options?

Gary. I’m in the same boat with my Pixma Mx922. Prints great when it prints but it’s mostly “going through the motions” and out come blank pages. It’s not an ink or print head issue. I’ve done all the deep cleaning, installed newest drivers, etc. No solution. Sometimes it prints flawlessly but lately all blank. Spoke to a local tech. Would cost more to fix it than it’s worth. At some point I had to throw in the towel. I bought a new printer for $80 at Staples.
