My MB2720 does not recognize 4x6 glossy photo paper. I have the try set right filled with the proper paper. WHY? In addition, no matter what program I try to print from If I get a picture to print by resetting the defaults it changes them after every printing what am I missing? I had a Pixify before and I loved it so when it wore out I bought a new Cannon MB2720 I hate this thing.

Did you set the paper size using this procedure? Notice the bottom of this guide
https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART171478
When you print using the operation panel of the printer:
The message which prevents misprinting is enabled by default.
When the message which prevents misprinting is disabled:
The printer starts printing or copying even though the paper settings for printing or copying and the cassette paper information registered to the printer are different.

I just went through it all again and got the same message. "2111 the size or type of the paper loaded in the Cassette 1 is different from the print settings." Where can I find the instructions on how turn on and off the misprint switch?

I cannot find precise step by step instructions only that you get to the disable function from the printer control panel in paper type registration settings. You may be able to register 4x6 paper as the default.

The above article still leaves out where to find the setting even though it addresses the code itself. Frustrating for us both for you the most.

So, I completed my photo printing project. Today I wanted to print some plain old 8.5x11 plain paper items and it kept wanting to print the photos. I hate this printer it is a piece of junk! My old Cannon printer worked so well and was so easy to setup. Why do they have to make this so difficult? I will never buy another Cannon printer.
