Just replaced my printer with a PIXMA MG 7500 and confused by separate block that came with printer.

Hello,   Printer came with a seperate block that looks like it should insert in the printer for the ink cartridges..  BUT.. can't get it in there...  Any body have experience with this printer...  It is a PIXMA MG 7500 (refurbished)
