Just bought a new PIXMA TR7520 and I am setting it up. Its telling me one of the ink cartridges that came with the printer may be counterfit and if I want to use it, I will need to disable the function for detecting the remaining ink level. If I disable this, can I enable it in the future when I can get a new ink cartridge?

Greetings,
Brand new, unopened printer? Sounds like a malfunction.
Start by removing a reseating the cartridge. Using the startdard installion procedure for the one cartridge.
If this doesn't help, bring the cartridge back to the retailer or request a mail order replacement.
The ink-level feature and allowing the printer to detect "genuine OEM Inks" can be re-enabled.
