How to set up my scanner?

Hello I have a new laptop a HP with windows 10 and I'm trying to get my Canon MG5220 printer /scaner to work on the laptop ! i have the driver that come with the printer and i down loaded it , the printer works but the scaner will not work ! I get a message the says that it will not work on the 3.0 window becouse it is for like the 2 something windows i have been trying for about 2.5 hrs now to get itto work . Is there a new driveri can down load or a way to make this thing work right ? I also have a Canon i9900 with  the driver that come with it , so i am thinking i will have trouble with it to !  Any Ideas on what to do ?

Hi ccleverly,

To install your PIXMA MG5220 on your Windows 10 computer, please follow these steps:

 1.  Visit Canon's website at: http://usa.canon.com/support

 2.  Type PIXMA MG5220 in the "Enter a Model Name" box.

 3.  Under Recommended Downloads, click the Select button next to the MG5200 series MP Driver.

 4.  If you agree, please click the check box next to "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download".

 5.  Click the Download button.

 6.  If a Save box appears, click Save.

 7.  Once the download is complete, open the Downloads folder.

 8.  Double click the file that was downloaded, [mp68-win-mg5200-1_05-ejs.exe].

Follow the prompts to reinstall your PIXMA MG5220.
