How to connect my MP250 to my computer so that the printer works.

I've a Dell Desktop and a Canon 250 Pixima running Windows 10. The printer ink is quite ample. All I need are precise instructions which I'll follow to the letter. JBJ

No help has been received! My printer is connected but won't function. Need to know what steps to take. Joe1
