Horizontal Bands on my Pixma MG6220

I've had this printer for a few years now and am experiencing horizontal banding on all my color images when printing photos or copying.  They are a light gray/blue.

I've 1) changed the cartridges (gray and cyan), 2) ran a cleaning 3) ran an alignment 4) ran a deep cleaning.

I've seen these post suggestions before.

Is the consequence simply to buy another printer??
