Pixma MX490..had this printer for about two months and still cannot get it to print. Therefore, just prior to returning it, I am going to try to get to print as a generic printer.
I am having the same issues. I hope someone can help me out. I purchased a new computer and I've been trying in vain for a week to install my Canon Printer onto my new computer. It keeps installing as a CANON Pixma MX490 Series FAX WS. Naturally nothing prints. Not sure why it keeps installing in this manner. If anyone can help me I would be so grateful.
