Have an imageRunner 3225 and have Windows 8.1 on computers. Printing extremely slow

Upgraded to an imageRunner 3225 and are using Windows 8.1 on computers.  Printing is extremely slow.  Can take over 2 minutes to print one page.  Sent one print job that was 6 pages, and took over 40 minutes to print.  Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.  Otherwise, going back to Windows 7.  Thanks in advance for any help.
