Error message 2,157,50 when scanning with Pixma MG3500 printer

I keep getting error message 2,157,50 lately when trying to scan documents with my Pixma MG3500 printer connected wireless to my Windows 7 desktop. I have already installed the new drivers and disabled the private network firewall but neither has worked.

Hello.

Try scanning from the IJ Scan Utility program on the system.  Before scanning, be sure that that the network version of the printer is selected.
