Error code 495A gs500 printer ( and any other printer too?)

Hi all,

I am posting my solution to this problem as there are a load of replies to wade through , should work for all unless the WIFI card has fused.

For some reason the wifi seemed to have lost its setup password. I think the reason is called by my grandchilds name.

I turned off the printer, turned it on again but immediately , in less than  1 second. selected setup on the tiny little lcd panel. went to LAN settings and then WIFI. Searched for my router and re inserted the password. This appears to have worked. Well the error has gone away and the printer is printing again. Hope this works for thers too.

Thanks for joining the conversation, Paul!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  To date, Canon USA hasn't made a printer with the name "GS500," so could you please double-check this?  Your printer's model number should appear somewhere on the top or front of the unit. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
