Can't talk to anyone until I register printer. to register I need ser#. Can't find. eneterd every number on the white info sticker on bottom. Really sucks! Questions: 1) Can anyone get me through the c000 error correctly, 2) how do I find the ser# to register? Thanks in advance.

Hello!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know the exact model of your printer (it's usually on the top or front of the unit). We will also need the Computer Operating System you're using (Windows Vista/7/8/10/11 or macOS 10.x/11.x) and the way you connect to your printer (USB or WiFi).

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!

If you're in the United States, and this is an urgent support need, please click HERE to visit your My Canon Account to discover your personalized support options.

Your serial number will NOT be on the underside of your printer. You can find examples of where to find your serial number HERE

If you're outside of the USA, please click HERE to find support options in your country.

Thanks and have a great day!

My bad. I was so upset I neglected to give the required information. Printer is a MX 892, Windows 7 operating system and hooked up via USB. Thanks!

Hi,

Please unplug the printer and then open it and try to move the ink carriage over to the middle so you can access the inks. If you are able to access the inks, one at a time take a ink cartridge out and put it back in making sure it clicks into place. You will want to do this for all the ink cartridges. Once you are done, close the printer and plug in the power cord and power on the printer.

If the error does not clear, the print head may be faulty and you would need to replace your printer.

If the printer is outside it's 1 year warranty, you do qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays. Let them know that the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
