Just set up different desktop computer (old one bit the dust). It's a Dell Optiplex 790 with Windows 10. from 2015. My Canon Pixma MP 480 printer was still working perfectly on the old computer even though it is 10 years old, but now it seems the new computer cannot communicate with it because of a driver issue. Is there no driver update available to make the Dell 790 work with the Pixma MP 480? The Canon website says the MP 480 has been "Retired" in so far as support/updates are concerned. Am I going to be required to acquire a new printer?? I find that hard to take. Someone help me, Please.

Welcome to the forum!
While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the Canon PIXMA MP480 has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the printer or updated drivers. We recommend updating to a more modern printer and reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialist who will go over the best options for upgrading your printer. They can be reached at 1-866-443-8002.
