Drivers for MX700 will not load

I tried to use the scanner on my Pixima MX700 multifunction printer and it would not work.  I downloaded all new software from the Canon website, drivers and all and the drivers will not load.  Help.

Using Windows 7 64 bit.  Error message is "Device deriver software was not sucessfuly installed"
