Driver wont install on my laptop for pixma MG2522

i have downloaded the drivers from canon and still cant print. I'm sure its something simple, when i try to let windows do it, it says no printer detected....i have unhooked multiple times.

Do you see any error messages?

It's kinda crazy how many people write in about not being able to get the MG2522 printer to work. Can this really be a printer problem, or is it a user problem?

Did you follow the installation instructions? They probably tell you to install software/driver BEFORE connecting computer and printer with the USB cable. Did you do this? It's a common error. Connecting them first then installing software is a problem.

Do this: disconnect printer. Go to Windows' Settings -> Apps and uninstall all the Canon software & driver entries. Restart the computer. Then start from scratch, installing drivers BEFORE connecting the printer. Restart the computer. Then connect the printer. Now, does it work?
