It was working fine till I tried to scan a document into my PC. Now it won't even print an ordinary file. When scanning it kept asking me for a password or pass phrase. I don't have one, never did. Why are the instructions both on printer front window and in online manual so useless? My last Canon was a breeze to use. I only replaced it because I bought a new computer and thought it was time to update my printer too. What a stupid thing to do. If I can't fix this by the end of the week, it's going to the dump and I'll never use Canon again. I really resent having to think about paying a technician to fix something which ought to be so simple.
