Whenever I try and scan on a Canon PIXMA TS5151 running under MacOS Catalina, a 'searching for scanners' message appears for a few seconds, followed by a long error message that starts 'Cannot communicate with scanner'.
I have tried:
- Installing the latest 'TS5100 series Software Package (Mac)' (version 1.3)
- Installing the 'IJ Scan Utility Lite Ver.3.2.1' manually
- Installing a recent version of IJ Scan Utility intended for another product
- Checking for Apple software updates (all updates are already installed)
- Restarting the computer, router and printer
- Scanning using the Apple 'Image Capture' app (this also results in a communications error)
Can anyone confirm that scanning over WiFi will actually work on a Canon PIXMA TS5151 under Catalina? Is there a seperate 'ICA' driver that needs to be installed for scanning to work?
Thank you.

Greetings,
The product's support page states that thiis model only supports AirPrint with Catalina OS. It doesn't mention support for scanning.
The only software availble is v1.3 which you installed. There are no other drivers.
I would not recommend installing software for other operating systems or those "intended" for another product.
