Canon PIXMA G7020 Ink availability

JimDujka

I am seeking an official statement from Canon regarding the long-term availability of genuine GI-20 ink for the PIXMA G7020 MegaTank printer.

The printer remains a supported Canon product, yet genuine GI-20 ink is unavailable at major retailers in my area. Even major online retailers frequently do not offer immediate availability.

I am not requesting technical support. I am requesting information regarding Canon's plans for continued production, distribution, and support of GI-20 ink products.

Please provide answers to the following:

• Is GI-20 ink still being actively manufactured?
• Does Canon intend to continue supporting the PIXMA G7020 with genuine GI-20 ink?
• Is the current lack of availability due to a temporary supply issue or a long-term reduction in production?
• What assurances can Canon provide to existing G7020 owners regarding future ink availability?

Thank you for your assistance.

Explain why the retail stores carry refill bottles for tank printer brands, except for the Canon GI-20 series because, and I quote, "limit availability from the manufacture".  Go to their websites and you will see that you cannot even order it online due to "back order and supply issues".   This all leads right back to Canon not supporting their products.  Stop making excuses for Canon.

Like I said, I'm seeing availability.  B&H and Office Depot has individual as well as multi-paks available.  In stock and ready to ship to your door.

Convenient, fast and simple.  Good luck in your search.  😉
