hi guys , i 'm gonna tell you what happened on my printer Canon 620 mp.

Premise... i loved this printer until today ehehe.

it worked untill i decided last night to print a book with 300 pages because after only 10 pages then the printer stopped, suddnely it turn off....

the first thing i thought will be the power supply...so i found and i bought second a Canon mp540 to 10£ because get it the same ink cartridge .

i tried put the power supply , nothing it still does not work...so the power supply was ok, surely will be the board.....

the guy that sold me the MP 540 told me the Printer work really well.... but to tell the truth ... the printer had issue on printhead infact ,print only color , can't print black and white... rather print only blank page...

so i thought , i take the printhead from Mp620 and replace it on Mp540... the printer given a error u052, i was wondering , how can i use the same printhead on mp540? they seem the same ...

have you got suggestions? please help me

Thanks Salvo

sorry for grammatical errors

Hi salvodipa,

The printhead for the PIXMA MP540 is different than the PIXMA MP620.

Because your PIXMA MP620 does not power on, it would require service.

You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program.  This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system.  This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free standard shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM ET).  If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8am to Midnight.  Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
