Canon MX920. Want to print only in black, magenta cartridge emptied. Print job stopped!

MX920.  I have set printer for Grayscale.  Want to print in black only.  In middle of print job the magenta cartridge

became empty and my print job stopped.  Frustrating.

Hi carol1972,

Grayscale printing only uses color ink, it does not use any black ink at all.  If you disable grayscale printing, any text should print in black ink automatically.
