I've got a MX494 which is plugged in to a computer with the USB cable. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get it to scan by pressing the buttons on the printer. I've downloaded and installed all the drivers and software required, and I can scan from the PC using the IJScan Utility. However, I do really need to be able to scan using the operations buttons. I've gone through the help documentation, but to no avail. When attempting to scan via the operation buttons, it gives me a choice to scan wirelessly (which I don't want to do) or to scan using the local USB connection. Attempting to start the scan using the OK button doesn't work, and if I hit the "color" or "black and white" button, the display just says "Please wait a while..." and after 30 seconds just goes back to the dialog that says "Scan (Local USB)" without producing any errors.
