Did you mean:

Canon MX410 leaving black line only on photo paper?

Hi everyone

i recently brought this printer second hand, it’s perfectly fine on normal paper but when I tried to print a picture on photo paper it’s left a verticals black line all the way down the photo? Any tips on how to fix this?
I have been on the maintenance section of the menu and done all cleaning (rollers, ink heads etc) and I’ve done a print head alignment but no difference

Thanks for joining the conversation, An3p1cBuBbLe!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS, and which version thereof). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

It’s printed from Photoshop on Windows 10

just put in a new colour cartridge

Thanks for letting the community know what operating system you're using. The PIXMA MX410 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!
